"And the winner of the People's Book Prize 2014 in the Children's catagory is....."
WAKE UP, RICHARD!
Actually we won't know until the votes are cast, counted and the result announced in late May, but that's plenty of time for me to bite my fingernails down to the quick! You can vote twice... now, until 20th May for the finalists to be decided, and again between 20th and 27th to decide the actual winner.
The People's Book Prize was founded by Beryl Bainbridge and currently Fredrick Forsyth is the main patron. It is unique in that the winners are voted for by members of the general public, rather than a small panel of publishing industry experts. In other words YOU decide by voting.
The prize is only open to published, rather than self-published books and all books nominated are put forward by the publishers rather than the authors. My publisher, Crooked Cat Publishing, nominated Leap of Faith in the Children's catagory. My thanks to them!
So here's the point. I need your help!
Please go to the link below and vote for Leap of Faith. PLEASE! And get your friends to do the same. Please leave a comment if you can. You don't have to buy a copy to be able to vote, because the first 3 chapters are free on the voting page.... but it would be nice!

Many thanks.
Blog on, Dudes!
Good luck, Richard! I'm in a similar position, waiting to hear if my novel will be in the top three of the Wishing Shelf Awards, so I sympathise with the suspense!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Val. Best of luck to you too! Let's pretend we're both going to win and have a celbratory drink!
DeleteGood Luck!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Glynis. I'll never see who voted.... not even the numbers. Have you voted?
